Aisha Casey is an LA based television writer and audio drama creator/producer from Brooklyn, New YaWK... She has worked for many years in corporate finance in industries including, medical research, commodities trading and telecom. She then switched things up to become a stenographer moving on to work in courtrooms, arbitrations and conferences and Congressional Sessions across the DMV area. All the while collecting material for the next chapter of her life in television and media content creation. Aisha's writing work includes: Staff Writer on the ABC drama, 9-1-1 from Ryan Murphy Productions, Season 8. Other work include her 6-episode audio drama Deadbeats. Aisha has also worked in production on network and streaming series including: 9-1-1 Lone Star, Grey's Anatomy, LA's Finest & NCIS LA,. Aisha has seen every facet of production through years of EP/LP/PD level assisting. She began her transition from corporate to television by first becoming a background actor across multiple network/streaming series produced in NYC. She then became a community producer at BRIC Media Arts Center, in Brooklyn NY. There she produced/directed/edited multiple series in the field and their 3-camera studio where she flourished in the art of technical directing and managing field productions. She is the co-founder of Black Audio Drama's Exist alongside Xperience-Jay as they promote and celebrate audio drama works by producers of color. Aisha is an alumni of Lena Waithe's Hillman Grad mentorship program and Ryan Murphy's Half Initiative, Directing program. Aisha's best production to date goes by the name of Zaria. Her daughter.
